I am so excited about starting my new diaper cake business! I am so blessed to be a stay-at-home and it has given me the opportunity to explore this creativity that I never knew I had! I have been inspired ever since one of my best friends Carrie brought me the cutest diaper cake ever to help celebrate the arrival of my sweet Mason Thomas back in May 2008! In fact, I love it so much that I could never bring myself to take it apart; it is still perched up on his dresser in his nursery and makes me smile everytime I see it! We are currently preparing for our baby girl to arrive in February 2011 and I cannot wait to make a special diaper cake to complete her nursery!
So.... what is this spunky title all about? Well, my 2 1/2 year old's favorite book ever since he was 3 months old has been "I Love You, Stinky Face." So, I wanted the title to have everything to do with Mason, as well as prepare new mommies for what they're about to spend a great deal of their time doing... changin' some stinky britches! :)
I am now ready to help design the perfect diaper cake for you! I love making them to match a baby's nursery, coordinating them with interests of the new mommy-to-be, or you can just let me be creative and come up with something to surprise you! I put so much time & effort into each diaper cake to make it extra special. I can't wait to work with my new customers!
I also make custom burp cloths, onesies, shirts, bibs, etc. You may purchase these individally or in sets. Email me for details!
What is involved in a Stinky Britches diaper cake?
The most popular diaper cake is 3-tiered and includes 50-55 Size 2 diapers. Depending on your budget, I could make a 2- or 4-tiered cake as well. You may request a specific brand of diapers for an additional cost, but I usually use a store-brand to lower the price for customers. A custom-made burp cloth is wrapped around the front of each tier. I will work with you in coming up with a fun fabric for each burp cloth. The "cake" is then embellished with your choice of ribbon, wooden cutouts, monogram or name of the baby, shredded paper used for the "icing", and whatever else we come up with together! I can get as simple or as ellaborate as you would like. Completed diaper cake placed on a 12" cake circle, put in a cellphane bag, and tied with a bow & business card.
Each diaper is individually rolled and wrapped in a rubber band. Extra items to go in your diaper cake such as bottles, pacifiers, washcloths, etc. may be purchased at additional cost.
Pricing & Delivery
2-tier diaper cakes start at $45. Beginning January 1, 2011, 3-tier cakes start at $70. We will work together to come up with one that fits into your budget. I accept cash orchecks only.
Each diaper cake is hand-delivered to Bowling Green, KY; Nashville, TN; & surrounding areas. If you do not live in these areas, I will ship it UPS. Shipping & handling: $22 - $30
Our lives have not been the same since the arrival of Mason Thomas Mother's Day 2008! Even through the pain of miscarriage, we are walking examples of how God CAN provide! We are truly thankful. We are so excited to be in the midst of a new chapter since Marc finished residency in June & our move from Nashville to Bowling Green in July 2009. After getting married March 8, 2003, we had five years of wonderful adventures before bringing the beautiful Mason Thomas into this world. We are blessed with one energetic, active, bubbly, happy 2 1/2 yr old, AND our sweet Mallory Jane who will be here February 10th! I am not saying that being a mommy is without it's challenges, but overall I am one happy, well rested momma! I gave up my job as a sociology professor at Lipscomb University to hang out with my sweet baby boy and watch him grow every single day while Marc started his job as an ophthalmologist at Graves-Gilbert Clinic in August '09. I would not trade our five years before becoming parents for the world, but this new chapter in our lives is ever better than I ever could have imagined! Through the heartache of three miscarriages, I feel it is my ministry in life to reach out to other women who are going through similar experiences.I would love to hear your story and share mine with you. It may be the greatest pain we ever endure, but God's plans lead us to the biggest blessings we could ever receive. Our nightly prayer... Thank you, Jesus, for Baby Mason... and Baby Mallory!
